Two years ago, Chris Parsons left the high-tech business world behind to focus on his true passion and life mission of creating meaningful experiences for children. As a father of two, he felt strongly that by utilizing engaging stories, reading and music, children can be encouraged to “Be That Spark” and do amazing things with their little lives. At a time when it’s more important than ever before for books to motivate children, Parsons was driven to start a movement and thus his debut children’s book, A Little Spark [Zuroam Media, October 1, 2020], was born.
Featuring the protagonist Spark, the brave young mouse, a fireless fire-breathing dragon Daniel, a freezing world, and an enemy to conquer, action, fantasy and humor are weaved throughout the story. With displays of kindness, comradery, bravery, forgiveness and even some evil to allow for valuable takeaways, A Little Spark is destined to be a perennial favorite amongst parents and teachers for crucial teachable moments for children primarily ages 7-10 years old. It makes a great family read aloud too.
The Children’s Book Review says: “From danger to bravery to equality for all, A Little Spark offers just the right amount of magic and adventure to captivate readers and encourage them to venture out into the world with a spark of their own.” A combination of text, illustrations and music creates a unique experience for parents and children alike as they meet enchanting creatures that individually offer new insights.
